Originally from the foothills of the Adirondacks, Dr. Mawery obtained her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Studies followed by her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Utica College. Following graduation, Dr. Mawery began her career working in a privately owned outpatient clinic in the Adirondacks where she found her passion for outpatient orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. Moving to the Finger Lakes several years ago, Dr. Mawery has furthered her career, continued to expand her knowledge of orthopedic physical therapy, and built a life in an area and community that she loves. Along with obtaining her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Dr. Mawery has continued to expand her skillset as an orthopedic and manual therapist, obtaining board certification in orthopedics (Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, or OCS), as well as becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and a Champion Performance Specialist (C-PS), while actively continuing to take progressive/evidence-based manual therapy courses in pursuit of a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) certification as well. Dr. Mawery enjoys the dynamic nature or orthopedics and sports rehabilitation and enjoys watching clients recover and return to their highest level of function. Dr. Mawery currently resides in Geneva with her 3 dogs, and when not at work, is an avid runner and hiker, enjoys spending time with loved ones, and enjoys spending time with her dogs and competing in a variety of performance events with them.
